This week's Way Back Wednesday goes to a classic Hip Hop track from 1987 by Brooklyn's own Boogie Down Productions entitled "The Bridge Is Over". Hip Hop back in the 80's started to being very competitive. Artists from Queens such as Run DMC, LL Cool J and MC Shan, etc were running Hip Hop and they made it known that they were. KRS-One of Boogie Down Productions didn't take too kindly to this, hence the track "The Bridge Is Over". This track has gone down in history as one of the best diss track in Hip Hop. Recently, this track was sampled in the Pusha T My Name Is My Name track "Nosetalgia" featuring Kendrick Lamar. Boogie Down Productions will be remember solely for this track for a long time. Check the vintage clip of "The Bridge Is Over" right above and leave any comments below.
