Girl Talk performs at Coachella

Pittsburgh artist Girl Talk took the stage at Coachella right before Outkast and shut the place down. He even brought out some friends such as Busta Rhymes, E-40, Too $hort and Juicy J to help keep the crowd on its toes during his set. Peep the footage of his performance above.

Pharrell & Nas perform at Coachella

As we all have seen from the Outkast performance, the first weekend of this year's 'Coachella Music Festival' has been pretty promising. Last night, Pharrell along with Nelly, Busta Rhymes, Diddy & Snoop Dogg shut down New Orleans for to bring in the 63rd Annual NBA All Star Game. With performances of "Frontin", "Hot In Here", "Pass The Courvoisier Pt. 2", "Beautiful" and "Happy", the Nola was definitely the place to be last. #WayBackWednesday: "Trans Europe Express" - Kraftwerk

I'm sure most of you are wondering, "What the hell does this have to do with Hip Hop?" This track right above has an enormous amount of influence on Hip Hop, especially in the early stages of Hip Hop. For the very reason, 1977's "Trans Europe Express" by Kraftwerk is this weeks's #WayBackWednesday cut. For those wondering what influence this early EDM music had on Hip Hop, we got you. One of Hip Hop's earliest hit records "Planet Rock" by DJ Afrika Bambaataa, contains a sample from Kraftwerk's craft work. Also, other tracks that sample TEE are "Under Pressure" by Dr. Dre, "Light Your Ass On Fire" by Busta Rhymes ft. Pharrell and more. Now you how this German track has influenced Hip Hop. Without this track, there possibly wouldn't have been a "Planet Rock". Picture that!

In honor of Busta Rhymes & Q-Tip project The Abstract & The Dragon dropping today, we will have a 2 part Pick Of The Day. The first part coming from Busta Rhymes for his 1998 cut "Gimme Some More". Busta Rhymes has been in the Hip Hop game since the late 80's, getting his start with Hip Hop collective Leaders Of The New School. Busta Rhymes eventually branched off into a successful solo career with unique style Hip Hop. He's released 9 albums with another on the way. This cut off of his 3rd album E.L.E. (Extinction Level Event): The Final World Front. "Gimme Some More" produced by legendary DJ Stratch and contains a sample of "Prelude from Psycho" by Bernard Herrmann. Theophilus London has definitely made a name for himself in the past 3 years has made a name for himself in the music world and fashion world as well. This groovy cut from Theo can be found on his 2010 mixtape I Want You. Produced by someone we don't know but it contain a sample of Alicia Myers' "I Want To Thank You". This sample was used by Busta Rhymes on his single "Thank You". We expect more from the Theo in the near future to give us more quality music.
