Rick Ross, Kendrick And Kanye Top Most Anticipated Hip-Hop Albums Of 2014

It's been an awesome 2013 for Kendrick Lamar as MTV News crowned him as the Hottest MC in the Game at the top of 2013, caught everyone's attention by calling out his peers on Big Sean's "Control," killing the BET Hip-Hop awards cypher, opening up for Kanye West and was nominated for seven Grammys (including Best New Artists and Album of the Year). Now we wait to see how the Compton rapper will continue to make history in 2014.

The year 2013 has made history for Hip-Hop with major artists like Eminem, Jay-Z and Kanye West all dropping albums. Take a look at Hip-Hop's most anticipated albums of 2014.





Kanye West Yeezus is still at the top of the end-of-year album lists leaving fans in awe for the soul-sampling controversial album. In December, Q-Tip confirmed that he and Rick Ruben would be co-producing West's upcoming LP. "I think my next album is going to be eight songs. It's just reducing down the amount of information that you need,"says West.

Schoolboy Q is set to release his third studio album Oxymoron on Feburary 25. Be prepared for what the Black Hippy MC has in store.

 Rick Ross has waited for for his sixth solo LP, Mastermind, to drop in the new year. The boss plans to collaborate with soul music legend Bobby Womack and will pay homage to the Notorious B.I.G with a sampling of his classic "You're Nobodu (Until Somebody Kills You)."

In a recent tour documentary, Chance the Rapper, teases that his "Social Experiment" is coming soon. Proving that he is not just an Internet celebrity, the 20-year-old Chicago native caused plenty of excitement with his skilled rhymes and standout production, his big single "Juice" and even opening up for Eminem.

Nas is taking a slow and steady pace in hip-hop and is set to release a follow up from 2012 Life Is Good  this year. "I'm an open canvas, a clear canvas and an excited painter with a shaky hand," he told MTV News of his next album. "Not because of bad nerves, but because of excitement."
